I stumbled upon an article posted by a friend. The article was from the Harvard Business Review. The title of the article was… “How to strengthen your curiosity muscle.” I thanked my friend for sharing this article and commented… “I stumbled across the strengthening of my curiosity muscle in my “Leap Year of Firsts.” Curiosity in doing something for the first time in my life, as the article states, “prompted many discoveries, and finally, left me changed in some form or fashion.” It helped me grow & learn so much. I hope the sharing of this article assists others in a similar way to have the courage to explore & experience what they have always been curious about.”
The article shared… “Building our curiosity muscle is essential because it will aid in the efficiency of leadership, enables continual learning, and because it’s a sought-after skill by employers. Like any muscle, to strengthen it, you must activate and exercise it. You can strengthen your curiosity muscle by ditching excuses, finding the right angle, changing up your routine, experimenting, and shifting your focus once you become uninterested. Curiosity is a skill that is useful in every context, whether it be in the workplace or in the lives of your loved ones. It shows interests, prompts discovery, and finally, leaves all involved parties changed in some form or fashion — all by way of a simple question of who, what, when, where, why, or how.” Here is a little more to Cultivate Curiosity (hbr.org). Are you curious about something you have never done or experienced before? Will curiosity exceed your fears? Will you do a First?
